☆ RESORT POOL ☆
50 steps from your front door sits the community pool. Unlike most Gulf Shores pools that close after Labor Day, this one is open year-round — daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, no access code required. (Please note the pool is not heated, so winter swims are for the brave!)

The Pool Pavilion features restrooms, a splash pad, shaded seating, tables, umbrellas, and plenty of lounge chairs. A great option for younger kids, or for days when you want to swim without the walk to the beach.

Pool rules per the HOA: children under 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times; no glass containers; food and drinks on the pool deck only (not in the pool); no pets in the pool area; no smoking; no rough play; maximum 50 people in the fenced area; no lifeguard on duty — all guests swim at their own risk. Gates are locked 10 PM–8 AM.

Two ways to reach the beach from She Sells Seashells: walking time varies depending on pace, approximately 3-5 minutes.

• 13th Street Public Beach Access — a short walk across the street from the community. Deeded beach access with a crosswalk for safe crossing.
• Little Lagoon Pass Park — behind the community via the boardwalk that curves alongside Little Lagoon. A peaceful nature trail route to the sand, perfect for fishing, walking, or exploring with your dog along the way.

☆ OUTDOOR SPACE ☆
The covered deck is your go-to spot for morning coffee, evening drinks, and everything in between. Seating for four with a natural ocean breeze — once the kids are asleep, it's the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine.

Outdoor shower: rinse off the sand and saltwater right outside before heading in.

Full-size washer and dryer available for your use. Iron and ironing board provided. We include 2 laundry pods to get you started.

☆ STARTER SUPPLIES ☆
To get you settled in, we provide: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, 2 laundry pods, trash liners, 1 hand and face soap per bathroom, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and a few coffee pods. These are travel-sized — for longer stays, plan to restock as needed. Personal care items are not provided.

We provide 1 bath towel per guest and all bedding. Please bring your own beach and pool towels.

☆ BEACH GEAR ☆
A few beach chairs and a wagon are stored in the carport storage shed to help you haul gear to the water. These items are replaced regularly due to wear — photos may not reflect exactly what's on hand. Any beach toys at the property were left by prior guests and are not guaranteed.

☆ MONTHLY WINTER RENTALS ☆
Monthly stays are available from November through February — a favorite with snowbirds. Picture a quiet beach, a year-round pool, the lagoon trail for daily walks, and full-size laundry for a real home base. Message us for monthly rates.

She Sells Seashells sits in the West Side Cottages community on West Beach Boulevard — a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood tucked between the Gulf and Little Lagoon. It's one of the few locations in Gulf Shores where you get two completely different water experiences without ever getting in the car.

The beach is a short walk across the street via the 13th Street public beach access. Behind the community, a city boardwalk curves alongside Little Lagoon leading to Little Lagoon Pass Park and Pier — ideal for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and peaceful morning walks with your dog. The 300-foot pier is perfect for birdwatching, and the pass connects the lagoon straight to the Gulf.

KAYAK & PADDLEBOARD RENTALS
No need to haul your own gear — several outfitters rent kayaks and paddleboards right on Little Lagoon, including Gulf Shores Kayak Rentals, E-Bikes & Boards, and Pure Aloha Adventures. Book a day ahead in summer — mornings have the calmest water.

FISHING
Adults need an Alabama saltwater fishing license for surf, shore, and pier fishing (kids under 16 are exempt). Licenses take about five minutes to buy online at outdooralabama.com — you can do it from the deck. A quick Google search will answer any other questions about rates, regulations, or what's biting.

GETTING HERE
The closest major airport is Pensacola International (PNS), about an hour away; Mobile Regional (MOB) is roughly 1.5 hours. A rental car is strongly recommended. Heading west on West Beach Boulevard? If you cross the bridge, you've gone too far — the community entrance is just before it. Once inside, look for the "She Sells Seashells" sign in the carport — that's you!

WHO THIS HOME IS PERFECT FOR
She Sells Seashells is designed for families, couples, and groups of friends looking for a relaxing getaway. It's a great fit for anyone who wants space, comfort, and a home base for exploring the area. It is not suited for parties, events, or large gatherings.

PETS & ALLERGIES
We welcome up to 2 dogs (50 lbs or less each) with a paid pet fee. Bringing your pups? Just let us know — we'll add the pet fee to your reservation on our end using the payment method on file, no extra steps for you. Our cleaning team does an excellent job between stays, but as a pet-friendly home, trace amounts of pet hair may occasionally be present. All linens are freshly laundered for every stay. If pet allergies are a concern, this may not be the right fit.

Per HOA rules, dogs must be leashed whenever outside the home and are not permitted in the pool area. A pet waste station with bags and disposal is located near the back lagoon entrance by the bridge crosswalk.

SELF CHECK-IN
Entry is via lockbox. Your personalized code is sent at 3:00 PM on check-in day, once your rental agreement is signed and your security deposit hold is confirmed. Store the key back in the lockbox whenever you head out — a $50 replacement fee applies for lost keys.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire home, with the exception of two locked owner's closets — one in the main-level bathroom and one in a bedroom. Both are clearly labeled.

We've put a lot of love into this home and want every guest to have a wonderful stay. The rules below protect the home, our neighbors, and your security deposit — by completing your booking, you agree to all house rules.

HOUSE RULES

BEFORE ARRIVAL
• A signed rental agreement and $200 security deposit hold are required before your lockbox code is released. The hold is placed 1 day before check-in and released 3 days after checkout, provided no damages are reported.
• Travel insurance is strongly recommended. No refunds or date changes after the free cancellation period, including for weather or hurricane season (June 1–Nov 30).
• All cancellations incur a non-refundable $30 processing fee. Insurance, damage protection, and processing fees are non-refundable.

CHECK-IN & CHECKOUT
• Check-in: 4:00 PM or later. Early check-in may be available for $50–$100 —violations = $50 per half hour. Lockbox code sent at 3:00 PM on check-in day.
• Checkout: By 10:00 AM. Late checkout: $50/half-hour.
• Key replacement: $50 fee for lost keys. Store the key in the lockbox when you head out.
• Please check for all belongings before leaving — we cannot ship forgotten items.

GUEST POLICY
• Booking guest must be 25+ and present for the entire stay. No third-party bookings.
• Max occupancy: 10 guests total, 6 adults (all guests age 2+ must be listed). Over-occupancy fee: $200 deducted from security deposit. Only children permitted on top bunk beds.
• No unregistered visitors, open-invite gatherings, or excessive noise — a Gulf Shores fire and safety code requirement. Violations can result in fines or loss of our rental license.
• Photos are for reference only. Decor and games may vary. Room layouts and bed sizes remain as shown. No refunds for minor changes.

PARKING
Up to 4 cars in the carport only (height clearance: 106"). Do not extend onto the pavers. No community/street parking — observe all NO PARKING signs. Boats, trailers, RVs, buses, golf carts, and commercial vehicles are not permitted. Illegally parked vehicles receive a warning from HOA security, then are towed at the owner's expense.

QUIET HOURS
10:00 PM – 9:00 AM, mandated by the City of Gulf Shores noise ordinance. $250 fine for violations, loss of security deposit, and eviction without refund.

SMOKING
No smoking of any kind inside or outside the home. Violation: $250 fine + loss of deposit + professional cleaning costs.

SECURITY & DEVICES
• 2 exterior cameras (front porch and driveway) are active during your stay and do not face private areas. Tampering fee: $200.
• Do not tamper with smoke alarms or unplug WiFi routers. $200 fee.

NO GUEST ACCESS
Locked and labeled owner's closets (main-level bathroom and one bedroom) are private and not for guest use. Do not open or tamper with them. Unauthorized access results in a $500 fee.

RESORT POOL
Year-round, 8 AM–10 PM (gates locked overnight). Children under 13 must be supervised. No glass, no smoking, no pets in the pool area, no food or drinks while in the pool. No lifeguard on duty — swim at your own risk.

PETS
• Up to 2 dogs (50 lbs or less) with pre-paid $150 fee. Undisclosed pets: $200 per pet.
• Housebroken dogs only. Crate when left alone. Bring your own crate and pet towels.
• No pets on furniture. Leash dogs whenever outside the home (HOA rule).
• Use the pet waste station near the back lagoon entrance by the bridge crosswalk — bags and disposal provided.

PROPERTY CARE
• No candles, confetti, glitter, or hair dye. Fee: $200 + damage costs.
• Do not wash seashells in sinks — use the outdoor shower. Fee: $200 if shells damage the disposal.
• Showers: keep curtain liner fully inside the tub.
• Grinder pump system: flush toilet paper only — no wipes, feminine products, or trash of any kind. Misuse may result in repair costs.
• Biohazard cleaning (bodily fluids): $250 fee. Unsanitizable items replaced at guest's expense.
• We have monthly pest control and bed bug inspections. Keep doors and windows closed to minimize pests.
• No refunds for power, internet, or cable outages beyond our control.
• Trash pickup Monday and Thursday — our service team handles the bins.
• Do not move or rearrange furniture.

Cancellation Policy: Ninety-seven percent (97.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
